1. Check working width and installation space

Record the widest rugs you expect to wash and the sizes you handle most often. Maximum carpet width, conveyor belt width and overall machine width are not interchangeable. Ask for an installation drawing and allow access for loading, unloading and maintenance.

2. Match the washing process to your rugs

Discuss rug construction, materials and typical soiling with the supplier. Ask how brush settings, conveyor speed, detergent application and rinsing are controlled. Request a demonstration using representative rugs where possible.

3. Compare brush configurations and materials

Check which disc, cylindrical and rear-cleaning brushes are included and which are optional. Review the materials used in wet areas and ask about routine care. A higher brush count alone is not a substitute for a suitable washing process.

4. Confirm utilities and operating requirements

Provide the electrical supply available at your site. Ask for the required voltage, frequency, power, water supply, drainage and compressed-air requirements for the proposed configuration. Request consumption and throughput figures with their operating conditions.

5. Compare the full quotation

Ask for an itemised quotation showing the model, included equipment and options. Confirm whether packing, freight, unloading, installation and training are included. Check payment terms, delivery timing, warranty coverage and spare-parts arrangements in writing.

6. Plan the rest of your cleaning line

Allow space for dust removal, washing, water extraction, drying and packing. Match the capacity and layout of the complete process to your workload.
